Join us Wednesday October 7,  2015 at 6:30 PM for “Mysterious Stone Chambers & Giants in Ancient America (Jim Vieira)” presented by Jim Patterson.

Strange stone tunnels, chambers, walls and cairns found throughout New England and other portions of North America. Skeletons uncovered in burial mounds that range from 7- to 9-ft in height, some with ceremonial copper ornaments and armor that indicate an advanced culture. Many of these over-sized skulls had double-rows of teeth.  Who built these structures? When? Why? Who was this lost race?

Stonemason Jim Vieira has been exploring these stone structures for years as a member of the Northeast Antiquities Research Association, which has studied these them for 60 years. Vieira’s research over the last 20+ years has led him down a bizarre road of intrigue and mystery surrounding the races and built structures of Ancient America. Vieira has compiled thousands of accounts of giant skeleton reports from the New York Times, Smithsonian Ethnology Reports, American Antiquarian, Scientific American as well as town and county histories to make the case that the history of our past has not only been deliberately covered up, but is vastly different then what we are told.

His 17 minute 2012 TEDx talk has been removed/banned by TED. We’ll watch a 60 minute video presentation from 2012 by Jim about these incredible anomalies reported well over a thousand times, but are excluded from the history books.  We’ll follow the video with an open discussion.

The Cambrian explosion was one of the most spectacular events in the history of life. In a short window of geological time an abundance of new animals – and new animal body designs – arose fully formed without evidence of any evolutionary ancestors.

Charles Darwin viewed this as an inexplicable mystery. He had envisioned the evolution of life through a multitude of small, undirected steps. Yet, the fossil record reveals no such pattern of gradual development. Instead, early in the Cambrian period, compound eyes, articulated limbs, sophisticated sensory organs and skeletons burst into existence seemingly out of nowhere.

Darwin’s Dilemma explores the Cambrian explosion and the scientific controversy that still surrounds it. Where are the missing transitional forms that Darwin’s theory requires? Can any undirected evolutionary process explain the origin of animals?

Filmed on four continents, this fascinating 70-minute documentary examines some of the most important fossil discoveries ever made and with them, a mystery deeper than Darwin ever imagine. For the Cambrian explosion of life was actually an explosion of biological information – assembly instructions in DNA and embryonic blueprints that directed the development of the first complex animals.

Join us Wednesday September 2,  2015 at 6:30 PM for “Homeopathy” presented by Dr. Akram Khan.

Homeopathy is a medical system that was introduced by German doctor Samuel Hahnemann over two hundred years ago. The system is based on the Law of Similars which was described by Hahnemann using a Latin phrase, “Similia Similibus Curentur”, which means “Let likes be cured by likes.”

Hahnemann named the system Homeopathy. The philosophy is that the symptoms produced by a drug when given in strong doses to a healthy person can be cured by the same medicine in higher dilutions in potentized form. In other words, minimal doses can relieve diseases that have symptoms similar to those created by strong doses of the drug. Homeopathy aims at stimulating the body’s own healing mechanism to counter the manifesting disorders.

Dr. Khan will cover:

Louisville Esoteric Society will host Thomas Freese, author/storyteller/artist on  August 19 for a presentation about trees, the “Standing People.” The Standing People—trees—are our planetary partners in healing. Thomas Freese has worked with wood for over 30 years, crafting a line of jewelry, wood wands, spoons and ornaments. Trees and wood have many properties to share, similar to the metaphysical offerings of stones and crystals. Thomas will bring his wood crafts and share some of the wisdom of woods.

Join us Wednesday August 5,  2015 at 6:30 PM for “Who Are The Mysterious Rosicrucians?” presented by Jim Patterson.

During Renaissance Europe in the 16^th & 17^th centuries an underground movement was afoot to embrace and share knowledge and philosophy in direct conflict with the dogma and control of the Catholic Church. It was the same percolating pot that birthed the Reformation. However, beyond disagreements over church liturgy, this hidden movement encompassed a more secret body of wisdom; it was knowledge that could put you under the scrutiny and punishment of the Inquisition.

In 1614 a mysterious manifesto was published that lit the imagination and enthusiasm of intellectuals everywhere. It professed a secret fraternity . . . an Invisible College . . . one for which you could not apply, but had to be covertly invited. It was a Secret Mystery School called the Fraternity of the Rosy Cross. There were claims of sacred knowledge assembled by the Brotherhood’s founder in the late medieval period – from ancient Egyptian, Greek and Middle Eastern mystery school traditions. Two more manifestos surfaced each consecutive year, fueling the fire of this secret movement.

Europe’s intellectual circles were abuzz with speculation about this sacred brotherhood. Who were they? Where did they meet? What did they discuss and teach? What were their practices? How could one join their circle? Were they even real?

It was in this environment that the Rosicrucian movement was “birthed” – although never operating in the public eye. No formal groups were ever known from this time period. Their members (if they existed) kept their affiliation a total secret. Then in the mid-to-late 1800s and early 1900s various Mystery Schools tied to Rosicrucianism started to appear. Some flopped. Some flourished. Some still exist today.

In this presentation we’ll review the foundations of the Rosicrucians, the original manifestos, famous people tied to the movement, their secret symbols, the modern-era groups and their concepts & teachings.

Join us Wednesday June 10,  2015 at 6:30 PM for “The Fourth Phase of Water” presented by Bob Hartye.

Water has demonstrated an ability to retain a memory or imprint not only of most physical substances it contacts, but also sound, electromagnetic radiation (light), thoughts, emotions and subtle energy (chi). Conventional science, which has been unable to explain many of water’s normally observed properties, doesn’t even try to address the memory phenomena.

However recent discoveries by a few pioneer scientists of a 4^th phase of water, a liquid crystalline state, provide a good start to understanding its amazing properties.

In this presentation we will look at a few cases demonstrating water memory and then see how water’s crystalline state was observed in the lab and what has been learned about its structure and properties. The results so far not only go a long way to explaining how water forms its memory but also reveals how water is converting the sun’s energy into the other forms of energy required to sustain all life on this planet. There are already several opportunities emerging from this work which can significantly improve our health and quality of life.

The Louisville metaphysical community lost a vibrant member this week. Bob Patton, one of LES’ original founders, passed away Saturday May 16, 2015.

He’ll be remembered as a spiritual leader and caring friend to all who knew him.  We’ll miss him dearly.

Per his attached obituary from today’s Courier-Journal, a memorial mass will be held Friday June 5, 2015 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 3345 Lexington Road.
