Join us Wednesday September 10, 2014 at 6:30 PM for “Megalithic Anachronisms – The Mystery of Ancient Impossibilities in Massive Stone Architecture“ presented by Jim Patterson.

Back by popular demand is a presentation made in the early days of LES in May 2011.  Catch this 2nd edition now before another 3 years goes by!

In this compelling session you’ll be shown a large number of examples of ancient megalithic (monolithic stone) architecture from around the world that shows ancient man was far more advanced than what we’re taught in the history books.

You’ll see . . . .

  • Exactly why the pervasive granite, diorite and andesite statues and stones cut throughout the ancient world cannot be hewn by copper chisels or pounding balls as claimed;
  • Stones cut, shaped and finished by the ancients that are so hard we, as modern man, have to use very recent technology (hardened steel and diamond cutting tools) to begin to replicate them;
  • Constructions containing stones up to 900 tons that we’ve only just been able to lift and move within the last 50 to 100 years of technology;
  • Stone joints that are so tight and stone surfaces that are so flat they scream “space age precision”;
  • The failed modern attempts to replicate the skills of the ancients.

The ancients were Masters Of Stone – phenomenal quarrying, cutting, transporting, lifting, fitting and finishing capabilities that plainly show the simple explanations of archaeologists (with no engineering knowledge) fall far, far short of reality.

July 9, 2014 (Wednesday) – The Incredible 2,000 Year-Old Greek Computer: Antikythera Mechanism

Ancient Engineering, Ancient History Comments Off on July 9, 2014 (Wednesday) – The Incredible 2,000 Year-Old Greek Computer: Antikythera Mechanism

NOTE: Effective June 2014 with our new location, we’re going to move our meetings to the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month.

Join the Louisville Esoteric Society on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at 6:30 PM for our next meeting:   The Incredible 2,000 Year-Old Greek Computer: Antikythera Mechanism“ presented by Jim Patterson.

In 1900 a Greek sponge diving crew discovered the remains of a Roman shipwreck on the floor of the Mediterranean Sea off the coast of the tiny Greek island of Antikythera. Among the treasures brought up by these divers were the most exquisite examples of ancient Greek marble and bronze statues ever discovered. These now grace the halls of the National Museum of Archaeology in Athens. Based on artifacts retrieved it is believed that the shipwreck is from about 100-80 BC (2,000 years ago).

Also discovered and retrieved were lumps of corroded bronze and wood that didn’t appear to be anything of importance. Not until the 1950s did someone notice these chunks of crud stored away in the backroom of the museum were some sort of complex geared mechanism. This was a shock! A mechanism of this sort shouldn’t have existed in the Greek and Roman era.

Since the 1950’s this mechanism has been thoroughly studied using increasingly advanced technologies in attempts to ascertain: Who could have created it? Where was it built – and when? How many gears did it have? What did all the gears do? What was its purpose? Why was it on this Roman ship? How could anyone in ancient Greece or Rome design and actually build such a device? All evidence points to an extremely complex astronomical clock, small enough to hold on your lap! In the modern era, historians believed that early astronomical clocks weren’t even starting to be developed until the 14th century (early Renaissance). Yet here we have a very complex astronomically geared device discovered in an ancient Roman shipwreck of about 80 BC. It shouldn’t be there! It was a treasure to surpass all treasures!

We’ll watch two high quality videos showing the discovery, research, theories of its origins, an amazing hand-built working model, and most incredibly… the superb technologies used in the most recent analysis in 2012 to discover elements of the mechanism never before known. After the videos we’ll share some exciting details about what’s coming up in September of this year to potentially increase the breadth of discoveries of this shipwreck and device. Join us and discover how one unbelievable mechanism is rewriting history.

All sincere seekers are welcome.  $10 for pay-as-you-go attendees; No charge for LES pre-pay Members.

October 23, 2012 – The Mysterious Origins of Man: Rewriting Human History

Ancient Engineering, Ancient History, Megalithic Architecture Comments Off on October 23, 2012 – The Mysterious Origins of Man: Rewriting Human History

Join us on Tuesday October 23, 2012 for our discussion group topic, The Mysterious Origins of Man: Rewriting Human History” presented by Jim Patterson.

The creators of the Emmy Award Winning Mystery of the Sphinx present a revolutionary new film that examines one of our greatest mysteries: Man’s origins.  Hosted by Charlton Heston, this film challenges what we are being taught about human evolution and the rise of early civilization.  A new breed of scientific investigators present startling evidence that the academic community has quietly ignored.

* Did humans evolve from the ape?  Human artifacts and bones have been found that are older than the theory of evolution allows.

* Did humans live at the time of the dinosaur?  Human footprints have been found next to dinosaur footprints dated to over 100 million years ago.

* Could the “Lost Continent of Atlantis” be buried under two miles of ice?  Graham Hancock reveals how ancient maps may hold the answer to the mystery of Atlantis.

* A megalithic city high in the Bolivian Andes has been dated to 15,000 BC.  What unknown civilization could have built it?  If this evidence is allowed to speak for itself, human history on this planet may be radically different than what is accepted today.

Includes the facts about this amazing mystery and a fascinating series of spellbinding interviews with researchers, scientists, and the best known, most credible authorities in the world today.

This film aired on NBC years ago and caused quite an uproar among orthodox historians!  Come out and enjoy an interesting look at alternative history.

All sincere seekers are welcome.  A $5 donation is suggested.

October 11, 2011 Discussion – “The Mystery of the Sphinx”

Ancient Engineering, Ancient History, Megalithic Architecture 2 Comments »

On Tuesday October 11, 2011 we watched “The Mystery of the Sphinx ” – presented by Jim Patterson.  In this DVD hosted by Charlton Heston that originally aired on NBC in 1993, John Anthony West explored the exciting theories and discoveries about the most famous monument of all time, the Great Sphinx of Egypt.

Does the evidence of water erosion prove that the Sphinx is at least 10,000 years old?  How were huge 200-ton stone blocks lifted into place to build the Sphinx Temple and Valley Temple?  Famous American psychic Edgar Cayce predicted a hidden room called the Hall of Records beneath the Sphinx.  The seismograph found it.  What can it tell us?  Is there a vanished civilization?  Can the legend of Atlantis be true?

This DVD shared the geological evidence that rocked orthodox history and Egyptology!  Thanks to all who attended.

May 10, 2011 Discussion – “Megalithic Anachronisms – Why History as You Know it is Wrong”

Ancient Engineering, Ancient History, Megalithic Architecture 5 Comments »

We had another great turn out for the May 10, 2011 discussion topic, “Megalithic Anachronisms – Why History as You Know it is Wrong” presented by Jim Patterson.

Jim presented evidence found in ancient megalithic (monolithic stone) architecture that shows ancient man was far more advanced than what we are taught in the history books.

A large number of examples were shared which obviously show that the causal explanations of archaeologists (with no engineering knowledge) fall far short.

  • Constructions containing stones up to 1,000 tons that we’ve only just been able to lift and move within the last 100 years of technology.
  • Stones cut, shaped and finished by the ancients that are so hard we, as modern man, have to use hardened steel and diamond cutting tools to begin to replicate them.
  • Stone joints that are so tight, and stone surfaces that are so flat, they scream “space age precision.”

Thanks to everyone for attending!
