Louisville Esoteric Society

We had our largest crowd to date on Tuesday September 13, 2011 for our discussion group topic, “Can We “Feel the Future?”  Evidence, Arguments and Implications” – presented by Dr. Keith Lyle.

Dr. Lyle shared with us two experiments developed by a  psychological scientist named Daryl Bem of Cornell University.  Dr. Bem’s results were published in a remarkable paper claiming that people’s behavior in the present is partially determined by events that have not happened yet.  In other words, people can allegedly “feel the future” by some unknown mechanism.  Dr. Lyle discussed the evidence for the claim (including some from his own research), the arguments that have sprung up around it, and the implications if it is true.

Keith B. Lyle is Assistant Professor of Psychological and Brain Sciences at the University of Louisville.  He earned his B.S. from Indiana University, his M.A. and Ph.D. from Yale University, and he was a post-doctoral research fellow at Washington University in St. Louis.  In addition to his faculty duties at UofL, he occasionally consults on criminal cases involving eyewitness memory.

We had another full house for a remarkable presentation on ” Myths, Miracles and Multi-Dimensional Reality: Reclaiming Personal Responsibility; Remembering Our Divine Sovereign Power“, presented by Logan McCulloch.

Logan shared so much knowledge with us and drew upon  information drawn from quantum physics, indigenous shamanic traditions and Gnostic teachings related to a model of our multi-dimensional universe proposed by George Kavassilas.  The presentation examined the role of the “Higher Self” (Oversoul, Aumakua, etc.) and higher dimensions in our present experience of third and fourth dimensional reality.  Topics  included concepts such as the role of free will, the purpose of physical reincarnation, super-position, holofractal geometry, and the purpose of duality/polarity in creation.  The audience was invited to consider the innate sovereignty and potential power of the Higher Self, and its many manifested aspects within this Universal Being.  Many insightful questions were posed by the audience, and Logan’s answers provided us all with even more understanding.  Thank you, Logan!!

Thanks to everone who attended “The Spontaneous Healing of Belief” by Gregg Braden on May 24, presented by John Pickard.  The group dynamics and discussion were excellent!

John shared with us Gregg Braden’s writings and concepts about the incredible power of belief.  How a change in our perceptions and shifts in our beliefs can hold the timeless secret to healing, peace, and even reality itself.   We each have a choice at any given moment in our lives to embrace love or fear.  Which of the two we focus upon will mold the spiritual and physical manifestations in our lives.  Great job John!

We had another full house for the Tuesday, April 12 discussion topic “Biology of  Belief ” by Dr. Bruce Lipton, presented by Diana Gautier.  We viewed a video of Dr. Lipton providing profound insight into the nature of how our consciousness controls both our genetics and behavior.   He revealed stunning new scientific discoveries about how the biochemical effects of the brain’s functioning show that all the cells of our body are affected by our THOUGHTS.  Dr. Lipton described the precise molecular pathways through which this occurs.  Thanks to everyone for a tremendous turn-out!

Our discussion topic for Tuesday, March 8 2011 was  The Nine Bodies of Man, from “The Light Shall Set You Free” by Dr. Norma J. Milanovich & Dr. Shirley McCune .  John Pickard presented the material and engaged the group in penetrating discussions.  We covered the nine bodies (as proffered by Master Kuthumi):
